- Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City may be appearing as PS2 classics on the PlayStation 3 shortly, with ESRB having new listings for both on the PlayStation 3, listing the publisher as Sony Computer Entertainment America.
- To celebrate 10 years since the launch of GTA III, Rockstar have released a Q+A answering many questions from fans about Claude's lack of speech, the 9/11 attacks, explanations of character bios, and behind-the-scenes production information - part 1, part 2
- Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition is released! Check the link for the list of compatible devices.
- Dan Houser, Vice President of Rockstar Games and the writer of most GTA games, has said Grand Theft Wiki is "amazing and we love it" in an interview with Gamasutra. In the interview, he says the team at Rockstar often check this wiki for bits of obscure information, characters and details from previous games.
- Grand Theft Auto V's first trailer is released!
- Limited-edition lithographs are available to purchase at Rockstar Games Warehouse for $25 each; only 500 pieces for each lithograph are made.
- In celebration of 10 years since GTA III's release, players can ask Rockstar any question about the game (or anything). Is there anything you're dying to know about GTA III's missions, characters, development, cheats, secrets, myths or just what Rockstar think of things like mods? Ask away!
- A 10th anniversary edition of GTA III for select mobile devices is announced.
- The limited edition Claude action figure is available for order for $149.99; only 1,500 pieces are made.
- GTA III has been released for the Mac App Store. It is currently priced at £10.49 ($14.99 / 11,99 €), but this is twice the price of the Steam version for Windows. GTA Vice City is coming on 25th August, then GTA San Andreas on 1st September. Rockstar previously released Mac versions of these three games on GameTree at the same price.
- The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy, which includes GTA III, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas, is now available for the Mac.
- Amazon.com has listed Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition, which includes Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes From Liberty City.
- Rockstar Games announced Chinatown Wars HD, an upgraded version of the iPhone port of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, to be released on September 9th on the iPad.
- Rockstar Games announced and released Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Lite, a free demo including the first three missions of the full game for the iPhone and iPod Touch on the App Store.
- The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are available on PlayStation Network and Games for Windows - LIVE. Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City for PlayStation 3 and PC is now available in stores.
- Grand Theft Auto IV update version 1.06 has been released for PS3 and patch 1.0.6.0 has been released for the PC. Trophies for The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony have been added.
- Peking Duck Hunt mini-game is now available to play in the Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars section of Rockstar Games Social Club.
- Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the PlayStation Portable is released on October 20 in North America, October 23 in Europe, and October 28 in Australia.
GTA 5 Wishlist
These are some wishes for GTA 5 contributed by our users:
- Adding some level of grappling would be an interesting addition to gameplay, allowing for stealth takedowns, using people as a human shield (pretty self-explanatory) or simply as an addition to , allowing for throws, dirty fighting and, if using a weapon, executions. User:Sawbones
- I think that GTA 5 should definately include the cockpit camera (where the camera is inside the vehicle) because it would be seriously cool. User:GTA NaTh 19
- It would be nice if boats and helicopters had designated saving spots, like tying a boat to a dock that the player character owns or landing a helicopter on a helipad owned by the player character. User:EEA
- The game should feature better a hand to hand fighting system where when you hit someone you like break there nose or when you shoot someone in the head the bullet hole is there with blood trickling down his/her face. Make it more realistic. User:HarveyH92
- I think that their should be more destruction! If you crash into a building that your car will go part way into it and bricks will be left! Then after a few days of gameplay it auto fixes itself. Cars shouldn't explode so easy! User:Doneyes
