:I really think that references clutter a page unnecessarily, make it harder to read and a lot longer. Unless we really need to prove that something is true, then there's no point. [[Canon]] states that anything that happened in a GTA game is true, and where a quote is sometimes necessary, we can take that as proof very easily. I just can't see anyone needing 99% of these references, so I see no point of having them there. And just because Wikipedia does it is not a valid reason :) - What are your thoughts on this? ::I have always thought that references were critical in proving information to people who have not played some of the previous games. However, I do see your point that it clutters up the article when editing.
