The '''Central Intelligence Agency''' or '''CIA''' is a government agency of the [[United States of America]]. The organization also appears in the [[Grand Theft Auto]] series. They appear in [[Grand Theft Auto III]], and possibly [[Grand Theft Auto IV]], and [[Grand Theft Auto: Vice City]] and [[Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas]]. In GTA III the CIA monitor the [[Shoreside Lift Bridge]] when [[Ray Machowski]] tries to [[Marked Man|flee the city by flight]]. They are also said to have an interest in the [[Colombian Cartel|Cartel]] manufactured drug [[SPANK]]. In [[1992]] they make another appearance when [[Carl Johnson|CJ]] [[Interdiction|attempts to obtain a package for Mike Toreno]], and when he has to [[Stowaway|bomb a plane containing a consignment of land mines]]. While on board the [[Andromada]] plane they utter strange phrases that is speculated evidence of [[UFOs]] and aliens in the game. In [[1986]] the setting of GTA Vice City pedestrians (presumed to be the CIA) are seen as bodyguards for a man when [[Tommy Vercetti|Tommy]] has to [[Check Out At The Check In|assassinate a businessman and steal his briefcase]]. In GTA IV the [[United Liberty Paper|U.L. Paper]] may be the CIA

In GTA III the CIA are portrayed as men with light skin, dark hair, and black suits with their voice sounding like [[Lazlow Jones|Lazlow]]. These renditions also appear as everyday [[pedestrians]] in [[Liberty City in GTA III Era|Liberty City]]. In GTA San Andreas they appear with two different agents. One with light skin, black suit and tie, gray hair, and dark sunglasses. The other agent has dark skin, a black suit with a black tie, black hair and mustache, and black sunglasses also this agent never talks to [[Carl Johnson|Carl]] unlike the other one. These two could be a reference to the film Men In Black, or [[Rockstar Games]] placed them there to go along with the alien theme out in the [[Bone County|desert]]. In Vice City they appear as the bodyguards at the [[Malibu Club]].

For vehicles and weapons they differ in each game. In [[Grand Theft Auto III|III]] they only appear to have ownership of the [[AR-15|M-16]] and the [[Micro Uzi|Uzi]] with no vehicles. In [[Grand Theft Auto: Vice City|Vice City]] they have various weapons. They have [[MP5|MP5s]], [[Brass Knuckles|Brass Knuckles]], and [[Micro Uzi|Micro Uzis]]. And for vehicles the have gloss black [[Admiral|Admirals]], and [[Pony|Ponys]].

The agents in Vice City are also seen collaborating with the [[Sharks|Streetwannabes]] when [[Loose Ends|Tommy has to interrupt a deal between both parties and steal the merchandise]].
