'''Newport''' is a district in upper parts of [[Staunton Island]], [[Liberty City in GTA III|Liberty City]]. It is a business district with several businesses around. Whenever the player crosses [[Callahan Bridge]] via [[Portland Island|Portland]], then Newport is the first district entered. In [[1998]], this district was under the control of the [[Forelli Family]] and after a big gang war, with the help of [[Toni Cipriani]], the [[Uptown Yardies]] take over the turf and still control it until at least [[2001]], during the events of ''[[Grand Theft Auto III]]''. The docks are located here, [[City Hall (Liberty City)|City Hall]] is located here, an [[Ammu-Nation]] can be found here and jetties with boats are by the pier. A [[Pay 'n' Spray]] and one of [[8-Ball]]'s [[Bomb Shop]]s are located here. [[Yakuza]] member, [[Asuka Kasen]] used to live in a [[Asuka Kasen's Condo|condo]] by the docks and Toni Cipriani lived in a [[Staunton Island Safehouse (LCS)|house]] here during 1998. An overpass bridge is also located in Newport, all the way towards [[Torrington]].
