Hi, welcome to Grand Theft Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the User:Purplecoin page.
Hi, i've never heard about this until now. Back in 2003 (seven years ago), I wasn't near as much a gamer as I am now, and also didn't have the Internet (I would have only been 10). Also, I didn't play any GTA game until after the Double Pack had been released for the original Xbox, which wasn't released in Australia until 2004, and I'm sure it was a while after release that I played any (because my brother had been playing it at his friend's house (note that my brother is much older than me), so he didn't buy it straight away, and it's through playing with him when I released that I liked the game/series). I assume that it was some kind of rumor going around, and that (even though IGN said it was, they provided no reference) it was never officially announced by Rockstar. It's also possible that it was cancelled or something, I don't know. Note that on GTW, we have a Grand Theft Auto World page, but that's about the GTA Universe (world), not a game, suggesting that a GTA World game article was never created (as there is also no deletion log for the page. Thanks for asking though! BTW, if you're asking me because of my username, as you can see on my userpage, when I signed up for the wiki I had no intention to stay because I had bad experience with wikis. So I chose the first username that I thought of, giving no real consideration to the future. And while I have played almost every GTA game, for many of the games I was too young to actually understand the storyline, and just played them for the free roam ability. GTA IV was the first GTA game that I actually played for the storyline (the new era thing really helped too). Anyway, none of that is important. Thanks for asking, and I hope you get a better answer in your forum post! Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 08:11, February 15, 2010 (UTC)
