Robert Davi (born June 26, 1954 in Astoria, Queens, New York) is an American character actor who tends to play primarily villains. He is known for his rugged features and impressive stature. Davi is perhaps best remembered for his role as the villain Franz Sanchez in the James Bond film Licence to Kill, but also played memorable roles such as Special Agent Johnson in Die Hard and the singing Fratelli brother, Jake, in The Goonies.

He starred in NBC's Profiler and has a recurring role on Stargate Atlantis.

In 2002, he voiced Colonel Juan Garcia Cortez in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. In 2004, he voiced the Covenant Elite, known as Spec-Ops Command Leader Half-Jaw in the Xbox game, Halo 2. He also co-starred in In the Mix, which marked the R&B singer Usher's first starring role.

In 2005, he recorded a radio spot in support of California Proposition 73, the pro-life proposition that would have required that a physician notify in writing a parent or guardian at least 48 hours before performing an abortion on a minor girl. [1]

In 2006, he directed his first feature, The Dukes.
