B-Type
The B-Type is a car featured in Grand Theft Auto 2.
Description
Design
The B-Type is designed a four-door sedan with heavily 1930s/1940s design cues, distinguished by its arrow-shaped trim on its radiator and hood shared with the Z-Type. Like other "-Type" cars, the B-Type is suggestively based on a Bentley, specifically, a Bentley S-Type (the S1, S2 or Bentley S3), as evidenced by its internal name, STYPE
. However, the car itself doesn't bear much likeness to the real-life car, due largely to the car's drastic reduction in length, resulting in the car losing foremost its limousine-like appearance.
The Taxi Xpress, a taxi, is based on a B-Type.

Performance
The B-Type may be considered the least well performing car of the game's three "-Type" cars, but is still considered a desirable car to drive, with a significantly high top speed, responsive steering and good brakes. It only downside is its delayed acceleration, as the car's transmission is slow in shifting to higher gear as the car's speed increases.
When crushed, the car awards the player the Invulnerability power-up in the Downtown District and the Invisibility power-up in both Residential and Industrial Districts.
Locations
- The B-Type is commonplace in the game, appearing in all three districts of Anywhere City (The Downtown, Industrial and Residential Districts).
- There is one parked near a Loonie safehouse in northern Sunnyside.
