This is a list of Characters in the Grand Theft Auto series, listed between the number eight and the letter B, and lists characters by surname. When surnames are not available, first names are used and then nicknames. To find characters whose names are known but are better known by nicknames (such as Melvin Harris, known better as Big Smoke), you can use the Find function. To access this, press the Control (Ctrl) and F keyboard buttons at the same time.

Some characters listed may appear in other Rockstar Games titles, such as Manhunt and Bully, but are listed here as they are in so way related to the Grand Theft Auto series. The characters listed either appear or are mentioned in a Grand Theft Auto game, or there is speculation they appear (such as Jimmy Hopkins supposedly appearing in GTA IV). 8-Ball is an explosives and firearms expert who owns bomb shops in Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas. In 1998 he helps Toni Cipriani to blow up part of Fort Staunton whilst in 2000/2001 helps Mike find Vinnie's killer. In 2001 he is arrested and later convicted on 85 charges of owning a firearm without a license. He later helps Claude find work and blow up a Colombian Cartel SPANK factory. His surname may be Mullan. Voiced by The Guru.

Marnie Allen Marnie Allen is a young woman from the Midwest who, in 2008, is addicted to drugs and resides in Liberty City. She employs Niko Bellic to help her and later returns home. After returning home she begins to attend college and is living happily with her parents. Voiced by: Reyna de Courcy.

Alve Alve is a gang leader in San Andreas who is used to start a war with Paco, in order to kill Paco. Appears in: 1
Yusuf Amir Yusuf Amir is a successful entrepreneur from Dubai who is being extorted by an unknown mafia family, leading to his construction sites suffering from union strikes. Niko Bellic later helps Amir, on orders from Trey Stewart (Playboy X) but rejects Stewart's attempt to become partners, later agreeing to build a memorial on the site to workers who have died. Giovanni Ancelotti Giovanni Ancelotti is reportedly the Don of the Ancelotti Family and father of Gracie. Due to his age, his orders are given through his daughter Gracie. Appears in: IV
Gracie Ancelotti Gracie Ancelotti is the daughter of Giovanni Ancelotti, Don of the Ancelotti Family, who Niko kidnaps for Gerald McReary. She is later returned to her family and, if she spots Niko, sends Ancelotti Family mobsters to kill him. Voiced by: Rebecca Benhayon.

Lily Banbury Lily Banbury is a fictional character in the 1940s cop show Moorehead Rides Again. She is the daughter of Pete Banbury who had wanted to become a teacher. She is killed by the shows protagonist, Gordon Moorehead, to save her from a life of prostitution. Appears in: VCS.
Pete Banbury Pete Banbury is a fictional character in the 1940s cop show Moorehead Rides Again and is the father of Lily Banbury. He has lived in Vice Beach for fifty-five years, fishing the swamps for twenty years. In one episode is being tracked down by Gordon Moorehead and Molly Malmstein. They later kill him for being a communist and heading a prostitution ring. Voiced by: Jeff Steitzer.

Robin Banks Robin Banks is an actor who resides in Vice City and appears as a goon during the mission The Audition. Appears in: VCS

John Barbosa John Barbosa, known as Johnny Spaz, is, in 2008, a twenty-five year old waste collector in Liberty City. He, alongside Luca Silvestri and Joseph DiLeo, collected diamonds for Ray Boccino. However, after they attempted to keep the diamonds for themselves, Niko Bellic kills Barbosa. Appears in: IV

Phil Bell is, in 2008, a member of the Pegorino Family who lives in Port Tudor, Alderney, Liberty City. He runs the Honkers club for the Pegorino Family and employs Niko Bellic. Niko Bellic
Niko Bellic (born 1978 in Yugoslavia is the protagonist of Grand Theft Auto IV and is the son of Milica Bellic. He grew up in war-torn Bosnia and had a brother, who was killed. He fought in the war and later worked for Rodislav Bulgarin, leaving for Liberty City in 2008, working on the Platypus ship. Upon his arrival, he began to live with and work for his cousin Roman, later working for many of Roman's friends and enemies. He commits numerous murders and falls in love with Kate McReary who, depending on the players choice, may die. Voiced by: Michael Hollick.

Roman Bellic
Roman Bellic (born 1977) is the heavily in-debted cousin of Niko Bellic who lives in a flat in Broker, Liberty City. He also runs a taxi firm, which along with his flat are burnt down. He moves to Bohan and sets up another taxi firm. He dates Mallorie Bardas and in the "Revenge" storyline marries her, although in the "Deal" storyline he is killed. By the end of 2008 he and Mallorie are expecting a child Voiced by: Jason Zumwalt.

Teddy Benavidez Teddy Benavidez is the co-leader of the Northwood Dominican Drug Dealers, along with Willy Valerio. He was also an associate of Ray Boccino, who sends Niko Bellic to kill him. Appears in: IV

Jacquise Benson Jacquise Benson is a liberal politician based in Liberty City in 2008. Appears in: IV
Berkley Berkley is an electronics expert who, in 1992, resides in San Fierro. He also owns his own electronics store and is a rival of Zero. He attacks Zero's store but is fended off by Zero and Carl Johnson, who later force Berkley to leave San Fierro. However, the rivalry between Berkley and Zero continues. Appears in: SA
Beryl Beryl is the sister of Harold Cartwright who lived in Central Camden Town, London before being killed on the orders of Albert and Archie Crisp. Appears in: L 1969

Mr. Black Mr. Black is a businessman who, in 1986, resides in Vice City. On orders from his employers, he employs Tommy Vercetti as a hitman, believing him to be Leo Teal. He orders the killings of Carl Pearson, Mrs. Dawson, Charlie Dilson, Franco Carter, Nick Kong, Mike Griffin, Marcus Hammond, Dick Tanner and another businessman. He also employs Tommy to disrupt a meeting between members of the FBI and the Streetwannabies. Appears in: VC
Tony Black Tony Black is, in 2008, a member of the Ancelotti Family who is set to meet some members of the Albanians. Niko Bellic rigs a bomb to Black's car and later detonates the bomb outside a factory, killing Black and many Ancelotti Family gang members. Appears in: IV

Gern Blanston Gern Blanston, known as Gaffle One was a rapper who also worked as a pimp, before becoming a representative for ScamWay. Appears in: SA

Dwight Boakin Dwight Boakin is a member of the Rednecks gang in Anywhere City and is the son of Pap Boakin. Claude Speed takes a trailer from outside his home to kill the police chief of the Anywhere City Police Department. Appears in: 2
Pap Boakin Pap Boakin is a member of the Rednecks gang and has a son, Dwight Boakin. Appears in: 2
Bob Bob is, in 2001, a resident of Pike Creek, Shoreside Vale, Liberty City. He phones Chatterbox FM and suggests shutting down schools. He has a son, called Johnny, who he taught clean the bathroom by age three and in 2001, aged seven, forces him to work for Ragin and Ponzer. He is seven years old, works for legal firm Ragin and Ponzer and earns $23,000 a year during the week and for another company photocopying various pieces of paper. Appears in: III
Bob Bob is an employee of the Vice City Police Department who finds the criminal files on the official [Grand Theft Auto: Vice City website, alongside Bruce. Appears in: VC
Cousin Bob Cousin Bob is the cousin of Trent Hopkins and, in 1984 was dating Hopkins' mother. Bob resides in Vice City. Appears in: VCS
Crazy Bob Crazy Bob is an explosives expert who owns an explosives shop. He also receives a car rigged with a bomb at his home. Appears in: 1

Curly Bob is, in 2001, a barman at Luigi's Sex Club 7 in the Red Light District. He is addicted to SPANK and sells Leone Family secrets to the Colombian Cartel in return for the drug. However, this leads to his death at the hands of Claude. Voiced by: Hunter Platin.

Nurse Bob Nurse Bob is, in 1998, the host of the Heartland Values show broadcast on LCFR. He is a devout Christian, is from the southern United States and usually attacks his guests. Voiced by: Chuck Montgomery.

Marty Boldenow Marty Boldenow is, in 2008, a criminal based in Liberty City who is wanted by the Liberty City Police Department for gang related violence. He can be killed by Niko Bellic, depending on the players choice. Appears in: IV
Henry Bolt Henry Bolt was, in 1842, a colonel with the 66th Cavalry stationed in Fort Carson who led his troops towards Las Barrancas. However, he inadvertently led his troops into a large hole in the desert, which killed both Bolt and his troops. Appears in: SA
DJ Bombatumba DJ Bombatumba is the host of the KGBH radio station in Anywhere City. Appears in: 2
Randy Boner Randy Boner is, in 1998, a resident of Liberty City. Appears in: LCS
Marco Bonnaro g with the Pavano Family.Marco Bonnaro is, in 2008, a bodyguard for James Pegorino. He is killed in a meeting with the Pavano Family. Appears in: IV

Salvatore Bottino Salvatore Bottino is, in 2008, a high ranking member of the Gambetti Family and formerly Jon Gravelli's right hand man, before being forced into hiding. He is wanted by the Liberty City Police Department for racketeering. He is known as Sammy. Appears in: IV
Carl Bradshaw Carl Bradshaw is a radio DJ who, in 2008, hosts the Tuff Gong Radio station in Liberty City. Appears in: IV

Darko Brevic is a man who betrayed Niko Bellic's old army unit. He has a drug addiction and he sold out the unit for $1,000. Brevic is kidnapped by Jon Gravelli and brought to Liberty City. Darko can be killed by the player. Appears in: IV

Leo Brodell Leo Brodell is, in 2008, a criminal in Liberty City who is wanted by the LCPD for drug trafficking. He can be killed by Niko Bellic, depending on the players choice. Appears in: IV
Brother Paw Brother Paw is a member of the Brotherhood of Jah Army of Love and may be the father of Brother Marcus. Appears in: 1

Bryson Bryson employs the protagonist of GTA 1 to pick up a briefcase, which is full of explosives. He has the protagonist drive and walk to various locations and later sends hitmen to kill him/her. Appears in: 1
Bub Bub is, in 1984, an actor residing in Vice City. He is set to appear as a zombie in the latest movie directed by Spitz. The movie, being shot in the mission The Audition, also features Victor Vance. Appears in: VCS

Rodislav Bulgarin Rodislav Bulgarin is a Russian criminal who lives in the Mediterranean and runs a people smuggling ring. He used to employ Niko Bellic, until Niko's ship was taken by the authorities. He blamed Niko and chased him to Liberty City where he continues to ambush and kill Niko, failing each time. According to Bulgarin's police file he dies by the end of the GTA IV storyline. Voiced by: Vitali Baganov.

Keenan Burdett Keenan Burdett is, in 2008, a criminal based in Liberty City who is wanted by the Liberty City Police Department for armed robbery. Niko Bellic can kill Burdett depending on the players choice. Appears in: IV

Ned Burner
Ned Burner is. in 1998, a reporter for the Liberty Tree newspaper. He employs Toni Cipriani, from the Liberty City Cathedral on Staunton Island whilst posing as the reverend, to do various things to generate news. This includes killing Faith W., DB-P and Black Lightman, as well as stealing documents and diamonds. He is lated killed by Toni, having witnessed Toni and Donald Love killing Avery Carrington. His corpse is later stolen and presumably eaten by Love. Voiced by: Peter Bradbury.

Richard Burns Richard Burns is, in 1992, a news reporter for the WCTR radio station in San Andreas and the boyfriend of Lianne Forget. He is later fired after the riots in Los Santos and moves to Liberty City, setting up a website about the history of the internet. It is unknown whether he continues to date Lianne Forget. El Burro
El Burro is, in GTA 1, a homosexual Mexican living in San Andreas who is feuding with Uncle Fu. He hires the protagonist to help him in this feud.
El Burro is, in GTA III (2001), the leader of the Diablos gang in Hepburn Heights, Liberty City. He is involved in wars against the Leone Family and the Uptown Yardies. He briefly employs Claude, having him kill numerous Leone Family gang members with a ice cream truck laden with explosives. He is also involved in creating and distributing pornography, having started in at least 1986.

Ivan Bytchkov Ivan Bytchkov is a burglar based in Hove Beach. Vlad Glebov orders Niko Bellic to kill him, however the player can choose not to kill him. If Niko does not kill him, Ivan moves to Alderney, gets engaged, gets a new job as a "money lender" and employs Niko to collect money he is owed. Voiced by: Lev Gorn.
