She even describes him as the "one mistake" her sister made and attempts to convince Franklin to move to Liberty City with his cousin Tavell. In late 2013 she breaks up with her partner and becomes a feminist, hosting poorly attended meetings in her house and goes on 'spirit walks'. Lamar Davis, Franklin's friend, mentions wanting to sleep with Denise and the two may be doing so without Franklin knowing. Franklin later moves to Vinewood Hills and Denise changes the locks, refusing to allow him to re-enter the house that he part owns.

Her relationship with Michael and her children deteriorates over time, partly due to her spending large amounts of money in 'credit car wars', and she begins having numerous affairs with the likes of tennis coach Kyle Chavis and yoga instructor Fabien LaRouche. Her fear of living with Michael increases as he returns to criminal activity and is located by Trevor Philips, who Amanda despises. She moves out with Fabien after Michael attacks him for the suggestive yoga poses, but begins to regret her decision, and later returns to Michael. She, Tracey and Jimmy move out to hide from Devin Weston and, after the games ending, return to their house. Michael, depending on the players choice, can be killed by Franklin Clinton, resulting in Amanda warning him to stay aware from her children.

In late 2013, without a job, he purchases a yellow BeeJay XL from Simeon Yetarian and, when it repossessed, attempts to sell Michael's boat but is kidnapped. His relationship with sister Tracey deteriorates when he tells Michael about her meeting people who film pornography and her attempt to audition for Fame or Shame, which a recently reunited Michael and Trevor Philips stop. He later drugs his father, stealing money and his car, but returns to Michael with his mother and sister. Devin Weston's attempt to kill Amanda and Tracey, however, results in them briefly moving out for their own safety. Michael, depending on the players choice, can be killed by Franklin Clinton, a friend who had previously repossessed his car, resulting in Jimmy cutting all ties with him. If Michael is spared, Jimmy becomes determined to lose weight and to spend less time trolling people online, which almost got him killed before being rescued by Michael.

Due to this and the increasingly fragile family unit, Tracey grew up disliking her family. Tracey begins dating Gary Scales in 2013 and argues with her mother about him, with Amanda describing him as a "loser". By this time, she had also developed an obsession with becoming famous and meets some pornography producers, but is dragged away by Michael after Jimmy had told him of the meeting. A recently reunited Michael and Trevor Philips later 'rescue' Tracey from a Fame or Shame audition. She, Amanda and Jimmy later move in with yoga instructor Fabien LaRouche, who Tracey ends up disliking more than her father, and later returns to the family house. She is briefly stalked, but Michael kills the man, and appears in the final of Fame or Shame, finishing second. She later goes into hiding with her mother and brother after Devin Weston sent mercenaries to kill her and Amanda, with Michael being able to rescue them.
