The Comet is a very quick car. Just as quick as the [[Infernus]]. But taking corners at high speed will put you into a long slide which becomes uncontrollable and you will eventually hit something or spin round.
Along with the [[Infernus]] the Comet is widely regarded as the fastest car in the game. With a powerful (most likely flat-six engine), and rear wheel drive, cornering fast will result in oversteer that even the most competent drivers will struggle to hold.

You can obtain a Comet if you loose the one from Brucie by, organising a race with Brucie, make sure you in a car like a [[Turismo]] then drive around in heavy traffic areas and some should spawn. Or you can go to the race and if there is a Comet in in walk to the front of it and shoot the driver, take the car and take it back to your safehouse.

The GTA San Andreas rendition of the Comet

The Comet is a sports car that appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto IV. It is based on the Porsche 911. The Comet is all-wheel-drive like many of the newer models, yet looks most like a 911 Cabriolet from 1976 or the early '80s, but the fastback has been cut off.

In GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories, many of the Comet's properties are similar to that of the Stinger, except with inferior traction. The design for both vehicles are convertible, and the speed and accleration are around the same.

Acceleration, speed, braking, and handling are all among the best in the game. In games prior to GTA IV, the Comet has the added advantage of being similar to a top-down convertible, which enables the player to jump into the driver's seat from the left side of the vehicle without opening the door, facilitating a more rapid take-off. The older renditions of the Comet are front-engined, unlike the real Porsche 911, which is famously rear-engined. This brought up speculation that the Comet was in fact a Datsun 240Z.

GTA IV Comet

The Comet also appears in GTA IV in a hardtop coupe form, instead of its usual targa-top configuration. Here, it bears the logo of its manufacturer, Pfister. It retains its Porsche-like silhouette, this time resembling a Porsche 911 Turbo, specifically in its all-wheel-drive system, which greatly improves handling. The rear end, however, does not resemble a Porsche 911, rather taking on the looks of a Maserati Coupe. Unlike previous versions, the GTA IV rendition stays faithful to its basis on a Porsche 911 by retaining the rear-engine design. The new Comet is very rarely encountered, and there is only one chance to own it (when Brucie Kibbutz gives Niko Bellic the car).

Along with the Infernus the Comet is widely regarded as the fastest car in the game. With a powerful (most likely flat-six engine), and rear wheel drive, cornering fast will result in oversteer that even the most competent drivers will struggle to hold.

You can obtain a Comet by organising a race with Brucie, making sure you in a car like a Turismo, then drive around in heavy traffic areas and some should spawn.

You can also find a Comet parked on the street right after beginning the mission for Bernie Crane, "Hating the Haters" - that is when it seems to spawn. You can take it, drive to a safehouse with Bernie, park the Comet for safekeeping, and continue the mission in another car.
