Consumer Electronics
There are many types of consumer electronics used and/or advertised throughout the Grand Theft Auto series, some are usable. Consumer electronics can be seen advertised at various electronics stores.
Computers
Up until GTA IV, computers couldn't be used, but this now changed and computers can be used in GTA IV, The Lost and Damned and GTA Chinatown Wars. In these games, computers can be used at some safehouses and TW@ internet cafes. The only feature on the computers in GTA IV and The Lost and Damned are the internet (email can be acceded at the internet homepage), but in GTA Chinatown Wars, the computers can only be used for email and wi-fi play. The only known makers of computers in the GTA series are: Fruit Computers, ThriftEX, Kakagawa and Panoramic. Operating systems include: Fruit OS, To$$ and Eunux.
Televisions and DVD players
In GTA IV and The Lost and Damned, TVs can be watched. TVs are made by: Panoramic and ThriftEX. These companies also manufacture DVD players and can commonly be found alongside their TV counterparts in safehouse, although DVD players cannot be used.
Mobile Phones and PDAs

Mobile phones or cell phones can be used in most GTA games and in later ones, have the ability to take photos. In GTA IV and The Lost and Damned, mobile phones are used to play online. The known mobile phone carriers are: Whiz, Badger, Squid and Tinkle. The only known models of mobile phone are: BitterSweet and iFruit. In GTA IV and The Lost and Damned, extra ringtones and wallpapers for mobile phones can be downloaded at Vipluxuryringtones.com.
In GTA Chinatown Wars, a Panoramic PDA was put in the place of a mobile phone. Although calls cannot be made, emails can be sent, wi-fi can be accessed, a GPS can be accessed and heaps more.
