Do You Have Protection? is a mission in Grand Theft Auto IV given to protagonist Niko Bellic from Mikhail Faustin.

Description

Mikhail Faustin gets control over all money in Hove Beach, but one video maker (Joseph Kaplan) refuses to pay Faustin. Dimitri Rascalov and Niko Bellic go over to the sex shop ("The Peep Hole") in Hove Beach and beat up Joseph's buddies, taking the money as well (for Faustin). Dimitri introduces Niko to the gun shop and to organized crime.

Rewards

The reward for the completion of this mission is a free Micro Uzi from a back-alley gun shop. The Micro Uzi, the Pistol and the Baseball Bat are unlocked for purchase from the Illegal Gun Shops.

-A pornographic magazine shop owner has been producing pornographic films in the shop's basement and Mikhail is not getting a cut of the profits and Mikhail wants Niko to kill the owner. On the drive over, Dimitri will tell you that the intent is not to kill them, as Mikhail ordered, but to scare them into line, as the money they're making would be better spent when directed into the group's pockets rather than elsewhere.

-When you reach the shop, Dimitri forces an audience with the director (played by the Opie and Anthony Show's Jim Norton) and his two actors, and tosses you his pistol to keep the lot of them covered. Auto-target the rightmost guy's head, '''NOT SHOOT HIM''', or you'll make Dimitri very, very angry and fail the mission. Just target him, and he should be scared into line. The guy next to him makes an offer that may sound very lucrative to you, but it's not your decision to make- target him and shoot him in the leg. Either will do, but make sure it's the leg - the intent is not to kill, after all. You can shoot Joseph in the leg too if you want.

-Head out of the shop, and Dimitri says he wants to buy you a present, a shiny new Micro-Uzi. Drive up to the gun store he's marked about halfway along the island (Mikhail will call as you make the drive, interesting stuff). It's located in a alley in Dillon Street. Head on into the building - it should be the door right to your left as you enter the alley.
-Remember this place well - it and other places like it are your only reliable source of weapons in Liberty City due to the Mayor's love of gun control, and since the cops will strip you of ALL your weapons every time they bust you (combined with the lack of findable weapons in-city), you may well be visiting these places a lot. The only thing you can get for free here is a Micro-Uzi, since you need that to complete the mission- if you already have one, you'll just buy more ammo for it- but take note of the extensive display. Most all of these weapons are currently just display models, but as you progress through the story the dealers will start getting more and more varied shipments. Make sure you don't kill the gun shop owner or you'll fail the mission.
