Flatliner is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, given to protagonist Huang Lee by club owner Zhou Ming from his club in the East Island City district of Dukes, Liberty City.

Mission

Zhou wants Huang to pick up Uri, an old criminal friend of Zhou, and drive him to Zhou's club. Uri is being flown to Francis International Airport on medical release, under police protection. Huang is directed to quickly head to the airport before Uri is released. Huang needs to kill four police officers armed with nightsticks before stealing the ambulance Uri is in - at the cost of a three star wanted level upon exiting the airport. Uri has a weak heart, and Huang must avoid ramming into other objects to prevent him from flatlining. Should Uri flatline, the player will need to rescuscitate him (tapping the small heart icon in the DS and iOS versions or tapping the L and R shoulder buttons in the PSP version) until he has been revived. Upon arrival, Zhou cuts Uri's heart out.

Script

(At Zhou's Nightclub)

Zhou: Back so soon? You must be eager to help make me the new boss.

Huang: I know when to back a winner.

Zhou: Me too which is why I always back myself. In business, pleasure, wrestling, sex, you name it. I'm a winner.

Huang: I'm going to take your word for it on some of those.

Zhou: Listen, I have an old friend being flown to the city on medical release.

Huang: Medical release?

Zhou: He's a con, but not for much longer you're going to free him and bring him here. His plane's already landed, so be quick getting to the airport.

(At Zhou's Nightclub)

Zhou: My old friend ...I bet you thought you'd never see me again.

Uri: Zhou ...I ...I meant to stay in touch.

Zhou: You owe me a pound of flesh, Uri, remember and I fully intend to get to the 'heart' of the matter.

Huang: If you'd wanted him dead, why didn't you tell me?

Zhou: What's the matter Huang - am I being heartless? I can quickly remedy that.

(Zhou cuts Uri's heart out)

Zhou: Now we've killed together, you and I are friends, Huang. Blood brothers. ...Don't be a stranger.

Reward

The reward for this mission is $150. The mission Bomb Disposal is unlocked.

Trivia
