Fort Baxter Air Base
Fort Baxter 'Military' Airbase is an military base, appearing in the video games, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
History
Fort Baxter Airbase was opened in the 1960s in the fictional city of Vice City. At first, military personels had used the base for air-landings, and other military organizations. It is also known for being the same location in which the helicopter nicknamed the hunter had landed in the airbase. The Hunter Helicopter (T.H.H.) had been the most destructive helicopter in the fictional series of Grand Theft Auto; the heli features a missile rocket launcher, also with minigun bullets fast-powered shooting range. The Hunter Heli has appeared in nearly all of the GTA's including, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City & Vice City Stories, and will be featured in the upcoming GTA video game Grand Theft Auto IV.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Fort Baxter Airbase first appeared in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It was said to be on an island next to an island opposite. At first, there were military soldiers gaurding the area if any criminals or vigilantes arrive to the area, it is said that they will be severely shot by armed soldiers by M-16s. Their are Barracks OL's, Rhino's, Military Jeep's, and other military vehicles. A man named Tommy Vercetti had murdered alot of soldiers in the base, it was in media, titled Mass-Murderer murders Army Soldiers, also after dropping down bombs on the base, it then again titled Vercetti needs to be Captured, it was said that if any police officer in the city of Vice City will have to take down Vercetti with any armed weapon.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Fort Baxter Airbase appeared once more in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. the game is placed in 1984, and the air base is a different rendition then that of the original Vice City. A Corporal named Victor Vance was one of the soldiers present to the base, but was discharged after the head-officer, Sergeant Peppah, found marijuana hidden under Corporal Vance's bed.
