For me, whenever you actually jump, not walk or run, off of a building, you die. And much smaller jumps, only about five stories, will take away half of your health, which means ten stories should take away all or almost all of your health. So falling from the tallest solid point in the game and surviving is probably a glitch. If you have a different version, the glitch may have become a full-on bug, where fall damage fails to take. If you have GTA San Andreas, not Greatest Hits, for PS2, then I don't know why you can jump off and I can't.

I'm disinclined to believe this. For one thing you CAN'T exit cars in mid-air in San Andreas, that wasn't introduced till GTA IV. Also, it should be a subsection of the glitches page, not an unsourced piece in its own right... C-d-rom 11:02, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

If you don't believe you can exit cars mid-flight in GTA, it's either for the Xbox/PC versions or you just haven't tried hard enough. You do have to hit it a few times, granted, but it most certianly is not impossible. Whichever version you have may just be more difficult, or it just might not work at all. As for running off buildings, I'm working on getting a video of that, which is why I felt like making the page. It does work, I've run off of the downtown Los Santos tower, the tallest building in the game, numerous times and fallen all the way down to ground level safely. Well, I survived, at least.

I don't think this is a glitch at all, Ive jumped, walked, and ran off, and jumped out of vehicles (what is this exit button nonsense?) and survived from the tower in Los Santos. With max health you can survive almost any fall, the game is really lenient on the damage from falling. The only way I think you can die is from falling is when you're already hurt or failing to use a parachute.--Thescarydude 15:22, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
