Getaway Vehicle is a string of heist setup missions in Grand Theft Auto V.

Description

For certain heists, a getaway vehicle is required in order to pull off the heist. To complete the setup mission, the player needs to obtain a suitable vehicle and store it away from the heist location. Once the vehicle and location is chosen, the protagonist who sourced the vehicle contacts either another protagonist or Lester Crest, depending on the heist, to notify them about the getaway vehicle. The player cannot use the protagonists' personal vehicles (e.g. Franklin Clinton's Buffalo, Michael De Santa's Premier or Tailgater, or Trevor Philips' Bodhi) as a getaway vehicle .

Heists where a getaway vehicle is required

Blitz Play: The player can use any non-personal vehicle stored away from the ambush site in Cypress Flats.
The Bureau Raid (Fire Crew Approach): The player needs a four-door vehicle stored away from the FIB Building.
The Big Score (Obvious Approach): The player needs a four-door vehicle stored in the underground parking lot of the Arcadius Business Center. During the heist setup, Lester also recommends that the vehicle be modified to increase its performance and durability to outrun the LSPD.
