Users who have been nominated for promotion (with {{promote}} in their user page) should be listed here, and discussed on a separate page: Administrators/username

Don't forget that any member can act as a moderator, cleaning up content. It is the members who act as such who will be more likely to be accepted as a Sysop, which gives them extra tools to help out. There is no point having an administrator that does not add content, because that is what GTW is all about.

Admin nomination procedure:

  1. Member is nominated (or nominates themselves) to become an admin
  2. If they were nominated by somebody else, they need to agree to the nomination
  3. A Bureaucrat will then allow the nomination to proceed if it is appropriate (not spam)
  4. Questions will be asked to the candidate, who must answer them as soon as possible
  5. Users can comment on whether they think the candidate should become an admin or not.. AND WHY
  6. After a few days to a couple of weeks, a bureaucrat will close the nomination and either approve or deny the application
  7. The nomination will be archived and protected as a permanent record
