Description
Design
The Hakumai is heavily influenced by the third generation Honda Accord. While some might argue a design influence from the 2-door Prelude (a Prelude-like vehicle called the Previon was already introduced in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), the body style more closely resembles the 4-door Accord with slightly modified rear (somewhat like an Australian N13 Pulsar GX) and front turn signals. It is one of only two cars that feature functioning hidden headlights (the other being the ZR-350), although they are not animated, and open instantly.
Performance
The Hakumai is surprisingly fast (but not durable), especially as the badge on the back of the car says it has a 1.4 litre (4-cylinder) engine, like the Blista Compact. The name of the car means rice in Japanese, it might be a reference to the phrase "rice burner". Accords are popular cars to modify, and thus may be the source of the name.
Variants
A modded Hakumai that is driven by the Albanian Mob is also present in GTA IV, with a red paint job, spoiler, and aftermarket exhaust. It can usually be found late at night in Little Bay. Most other Hakumais appear with added fog lights.
Trivia
The two default radio stations in the Hakumai are Electro-Choc and Radio Broker.
Locations
The Hakumai spawns in Little Bay, Bohan, and in Steinway, Dukes.
