The Hellenbach GT is a beat-up muscle car found in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.

Description

Despite its looks, distinguished by its different colored panels, the Hellenbach GT is quite a fast car and has great handling. It resembles a 1967-1970 Mercury Cougar, except for minor differences like the single headlights and added turn signals, and the sides are closer to a 1968 – 1970 AMC AMX.

The Hellenbach has an extremely high top speed, and beats the Banshee and Cheetah on top speed. It also has better handling, and can take a bit more of a beating.

How to get the car

The car can first be found in the mission Snuff for Vincenzo Cilli. It's a reward given by Joseph Daniel O'Toole after the player has killed a Sindacco leader. It can also be obtained by completing level 4 of the car salesman missions. It will be in the car showroom in Harwood. In Cedar Grove, Shoreside Vale, it can be found outside a garage, however, it won't always be there, sometimes there will be a Cheetah or a Banshee instead.

Trivia

This is the first and fastest "beat-up" car outside of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. In GTA San Andreas, the Clover and the Tampa also have different colored replacement panels.

The name comes from the phrase "From Hell and back", which most people say about the reliability of their old beaters.
