InterGlobal Films Studio

InterGlobal Studios, the sole film studio in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, serves as a pornography film studio for pornography film director Steve Scott and is later bought by Tommy Vercetti.

Besides its affiliation with crustaceans, the name of Prawn Island is a play on "porn" (or perhaps the internet slang "pr0n"). It is unclear whether or not the studio was previously used for filming of more mainstream movies, but is hinted at in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, and several movie sets that seem relatively unrelated to pornography were seen in the studio, including movie sets featuring battleships and a moon landing complete with an American flag (an apparent reference to conspiracy theories that American moon landings were faked).

In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, there is also an InterGlobal Television studio in Los Santos. This could mean that Steve or Tommy continued their work and moved into Television, or that the film business didn't work out. Between two of the studios here CJ can find a Sawn-Off Shotgun.
