Ivan Bytchkov is a Russian burglar and associate of the Faustin Family based in Hove Beach. Vladimir Glebov orders Niko Bellic to execute him by Mikhail Faustin's command. Niko's hunt for Ivan leads them to a rooftop chase, during which Ivan warns Niko that Vlad is a nobody, and that killing for him is pointless. Ivan takes a bad step and dangles off the edge of a catwalk. At this point, Ivan can be killed or left alive.
If the player chooses to kill Ivan, Niko steps on Ivan's fingers, sending him falling to his death. Niko finds out later that Ivan was right: Vlad was a nobody, with no allies willing to step in to avenge him.
If the player chooses to spare Ivan, Niko helps him up, saying that he can't be that bad if Vlad wants him dead. Ivan repeatedly thanks Niko Bellic by calling him a "good man". Niko Bellic meets Ivan later on the streets of Alderney as a random character. Ivan is engaged to a beautiful American woman. who he shags 3 times a week, lives in Alderney, and has a new job as a "money lender." Niko helps Ivan collect a debt from several hustlers who choose not to repay him, they try to whack Ivan but they do not survive the gunfight because Niko Bellic saves Ivan's ass again.
He drives a Black and gold Ruiner, as seen in the chase part in Ivan The Not So Terrible until he crashes it and escapes through a construction site.
His name is humorously pronounced as "Bitch-Kov".
