|Vehicle type||Civilian car|
|Body style||2-door sports car/coupé grand tourer|
|Capacity||2 (driver and passenger)|
The Jefferson is sports car featured in Grand Theft Auto 2.
The Jefferson is fashioned as a high performance car with a grand tourer body design, most distinguishable by its compact but elongated proportions comparable to the slower Wellard. The Jefferson's internal name is
JEFFREY, suggesting the car's name is based on a Rambler (the Rambler name was originally adopted for use by the Thomas B. Jeffery Company prior to the company's acquisition by Nash Motors in 1917), however The sleek touring design of the Jefferson harks back to designs from the 1920s to the 1940s, such as an Alfa Romeo 8C, for example, than a 1900s-1910s Rambler.
The Jefferson's performance is impeccable, with excellent acceleration (albeit being delayed while in top gear), a very high top speed, small turning radius's, and good braking response helped largely by its raw engine power and very light weight. The only drawback to the car is its very low capacity, being able to only hold two passengers.
