JoBuilt are a heavy-duty lorry and aeroplane manufacturer in the HD universe. They appear to be based on real-life truck manufacturer Peterbilt; the Jobuilt logo resembles the Peterbilt logo, and their Phantom is based on a Peterbilt design. The company name is a play on the name of Peterbilt, "Jobuilt" meaning "built by Joe" as opposed to Peterbilt meaning "built by Peter".

JoBuilt were first introduced in GTA IV as the manufacturer of the Phantom articulated lorry. Their portfolio was expanded in GTA V to include two light aeroplanes and more commercial aircraft.

Trivia

In GTA IV's audio files, the name is misspelled "Joebuilt".^[1]This may have been the name of the company in prerelease builds of the game.
