The Kanbu is a character who appears in Grand Theft Auto III as a minor character. Kanbu is an associate of the Yakuza leader Kenji Kasen, and was arrested for an unknown crime. Kanbu is a high ranking member of the Yakuza, and is set to go on trial. Kenji Kasen employs Claude (in the mission Kanbu Bust-out) to break Kanbu out of the Liberty City Police Department jail on Staunton Island, which he does successfully. Claude delivers Kanbu to the Hyaku Dojo in Bedford Point, Staunton Island.

In Japanese, kanbu means executive.
