Kenji Kasen (? – October 2001) is a character from who plays a major role in Grand Theft Auto III. Kenji Kasen is the co-leader of the Yakuza, along with his sister Asuka. He is also the brother of Kazuki Kasen and brother-in-law of Toshiko Kasen. It is possible that Kenji is the father of Yuka, although it is also possible that he is her uncle. Les J.N. Mau voiced Kenji Kasen in Grand Theft Auto III.

Kenji Kasen arrived in the United States of America in 1996, five years after his sister Asuka Kasen and runs a casino on Torrington, Staunton Island, Liberty City. Kenji highly respects loyalty and honour. When Kenji first meets Claude (the protagonist of GTA III), he tells Claude to prove himself, this despite Asuka's assurances. Claude proves himself by helping a Yakuza gang member, Kanbu, escape prison.

Kenji Kasen then has Claude deliver three cars to a garage in order to pay a debt, obtaining two briefcases, obtaining a third briefcase and killing members of the Uptown Yardies gang who are selling the drug SPANK.

Claude would eventually kill him, although only him and Donald Love (who employed Claude to kill Kenji) know that. Claude killed Kenji whilst in a Cartel Cruiser using a method not yet determined, in order to start a war between the Yakuza and the Colombian Cartel, which would drive down local house prices. Allowing for Donald Love to purchase, renovate and then sell them. Donald Love's plans come to fruition, when Asuka Kasen launches a full scale war against the Colombian Cartel to gain revenge for the murder of her brother. This however would also lead to the death of Asuka. It is possible to circumvent Kenji's missions, and they are not critical to the storyline. The player can complete Donald Love's missions and kill Kenji without doing one of his missions. Warning! If you kill kenji without finishing his missions, you will not be able to get 100% completion.
