Barrel roll
Reward
Fly through the first corona, and then push the left analog stick directly left quickly to do the barrel roll. After that, fly through the last corona to finish the test.
After you complete the test, you will unlock a Rustler, for finishing all the tests with bronze or above, a Stunt Plane, for all silver and a Hunter for all gold. Also, the missions N.O.E. and Fender Ketchup are unlocked, with the latter triggered by a phone call from Wu Zi Mu. In addition, all Las Venturas Safehouses are available (contrary to some walkthroughs, the city itself is accessible prior to this mission). Across the game map, airplanes are now available for flying (in addition, CJ can now access airport runways via security gates). The Police Maverick on the roof of the Los Santos Police Department also appears.
Trivia
*The lessons don't have to be completed in one go. CJ can leave the airstrip and take part in side-missions, dates, or other activities in-between lessons, with the only penalty being the occasional phone call from Toreno chiding CJ for not finishing the lessons.
*Pilot School is the only mandatory training mission in the game, as the others for boating, biking and cars are optional, though all need to be completed for 100% completion.
*The more time you take to begin the flying lessons, the more Toreno will call CJ to remind him, eventually threatening him to have another inmate moved in the same cell as Sweet's, before going on a humorous description of said inmate.

Parachute onto target
Video Walkthrough
Jumping off a plane, push the left analog stick to dive forward or pull it back to slow the descent. Open the parachute by pressing o and land on the target area to finish the test.

Learning to Fly is the first mission in the Verdant Meadows airstrip giving to Carl Johnson by Mike Toreno.

Mission

After purchasing the airstrip, enter the building next to the safehouse. After you step into the marker, a cutscene shows Mike Toreno phoning CJ, telling him to learn to fly in order to free Sweet. Mike Toreno tells Carl to go buy the Airstrip in Verdant Meadows. After CJ buys the property, flight school will be available. If he scores 70% or better on a test, it makes another one available. He needs to get at least 70% for all of them for 100% completion of the game. It also makes CJ a licensed pilot, with access to the airports, if he wasn't one before. There are 10 tests that need to be completed. For a detailed walkthrough of the tests, see Pilot School#Lessons.

Script

Carl Johnson: Toreno?
Mike Toreno: Carl, learn to fly.
Carl Johnson: I'm on it, man, I swear!
Mike Toreno: "I'm on it, man, I swear" Same old broken record, Carl. But that's fine... because your brother's getting a new cell mate tonight. Horse Cock Harry. And I'm sending a present, little wedding present - a big tube of lube.
Carl Johnson: Shit, dude, okay! Okay! I swear, man, I'm gonna be the best pilot!
Mike Toreno: I'd love to hear you, Carl, I can't hear you. All I can hear is your brother's love cries as 8 kilometers of cock find its way up his ass. Aaooowww? That's your brother, okay? No big problem.
Carl Johnson: Wait! Please, man!
Mike Toreno: That was my last motivational speech, understand? Am I being too spiritual for you, Carl?
Carl Johnson: OK, man, I get the message.

Reward
