*Subway in GTA III: Covering the elevated train in Portland and the citywide subway system mainly featured in Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
The subway system in GTA III's Liberty City is one of two public transportation systems; there is also an elevated rail line running exclusively in the borough of Portland Island. The subway features four stops dispersed throughout all three boroughs, serving as an interborough link. It provides convenient access to Francis International Airport with a subway station at the complex.
*Subway in GTA IV: Covering the citywide subway system in Grand Theft Auto IV, its episodes and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.

The Portland El and the subway are two separate, independent systems. There is no physical or official connection between the two services, although the el's Kurowski and the subway's Portland stations may be viewed as unofficial "transfer" points, given that they are in close proximity to each other.

The Liberty City Subway System is a heavy rail rapid transit system that serves a large portion of Liberty City. With 26 stops and 8 routes, it is largest and most complex rapid transit system in the GTA Universe. The main operator and maintance company of the subway is the Liberty City Transport Authority. The subway trains are heavily graffitied with black and white cameras so you can veiw the player. As their is no way for the ticket machines to be used the subway is completly free. Subway lines can be seen on your mini map as faint gray lines and the stations are squares. Subway staions in algonquin are underground and can be found by looking for steps with black fences around them. Staions in broker and bohan are overground. The subway is a good way to escape from the police beacuse they are confused by you going through buildings; use of the subway stops at a three-star wanted level. If you can get a car onto the tracks then it is a quick way to get around. You can a car on to the tracks by driving through hove beach station (steps may prove hard for slow vehicles) another way is at Frankfort High Station where the tracks go underground their is a gap in the wall, how ever the car may turn over due to the long drop. The lines can be accessed via the matinence platform near the grand easton terminal just look for the small box building near the terminal building . Tramps can be found in the changeover sections. One station is closed due to matinence on a non completed branch line from the broker line, the station is called Dukes Blvd

*The Algonquin Inner Line + Bohan Line

All lines intersect at Grand Easton Terminal. The terminal itself is not accessible however.
