The Lokus in GTA IV.

The Emperor Lokus LS 350 is a four-door sedan available in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Description

The Lokus resembles a second generation Lexus GS, with headlights that appear loosely inspired by a 2007-present Infiniti G. The tail lights have a very similar appearance to those from a BMW E46 3-Series, giving the vehicle an all around compact luxury feel. It is rarely found around the city, but may be seen in Alderney. It can also be found in southwest Bohan, near the Northwood Heights Bridge.

After completing Stevie's text message car thefts, the Lokus may be sold in his garage for $1300.

Performance

The Lokus is powered by what feels like a low-revving V6, coupled to a 5 speed gearbox in a RWD configuration. Acceleration can be described as "leisurely", taking the Lokus upwards of 10 seconds to reach 100km/h (62mp/h). It's top speed is also very depressing, as it is the second slowest four-door sedan in the game (The Karin Dilettante being the slowest). Handling is vague and unresponsive, resulting in a surprisingly high amount of understeer, due to the far too firm suspension. Braking is well below average, though ABS is available. Crash deformation is average to below average, and build quality is quite shoddy, as the Lokus cannot sustain much damage before being unusable.

Uses in missions

In "Meltdown", Niko is told by Ray to retrieve some diamonds from Luca and his mates. Luca and crew are in Castle Gardens City, parked in a grey Lokus. After exchanging words, Luca speeds off, leading Niko into a car chase that ends in Middle Park, when Luca crashes.

The Lokus is also central to "Entourage"; in which Niko must escort Bobby Jefferson to City Hall to make a speech while in a convoy of 3 Lokus'. Mr. Jefferson's personal Lokus is a special shade of blue/black, and cannot be obtained when respraying a vehicle.

Trivia

  • Lokus is the German word for "toilet".
  • On the back end of the Lokus, Emperor is misspelled as "Emporer".
