Love Media, is a fictional media conglomerate in the Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.

Description

GTA III

Owned by Donald Love, Love Media is described as "The fastest growing US-run media conglomerate in the past five years", controling approximately "900 radio stations, 300 television stations, 4 networks, 3 satellites, [and] 10 senators", with the Love Media brand name; its base of operation is situated south Bedford Point, Staunton Island, in Liberty City.

Love's announcements or related commercials are evident in certain player accessed radio stations, including Head Radio, Flashback 95.6, Double Cleff FM, and Chatterbox FM. Love Media also owns the Liberty Tree, Liberty City's local newspaper. Other acquisitions and interests include pet food and health insurance. They also own Bitch'n' Dog Food.

Donald Love is believed to had only begun doing business in Liberty City from early-2001 onwards, indicating that Love Media was quick in either its founding or acquisition of many companies in Liberty City within months (the time period of GTA III is supposedly late 2001). This was done as a response to the return of Barry Harcross, a recently acquitted businessman and long time rival of Donald Love, to the city. However, several possible continuity errors are also noted: Love had apparently operated in Liberty City in 1998 (although he was seen working in a different office building) and already owns several radio stations and newspapers, contrary to what the aforementioned 2001 Liberty Tree articles claims.

After Donald Love's disappearance in GTA III, the fate of the conglomerate is left unknown.

GTA Liberty City Stories

In Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Love Media doesn't have a prominent role, but it is implied that Donald Love might own Love Media. Love Media owns a garage adjacent to the Love Media Building in which the player could drop off certain requested vehicles for cash prizes. The requested vehicles are on a list next to the garage. The vehicles are as follows: Hearse, Faggio, Freeway, Phobos VT, Infernus, Sentinel, PCJ 600, Deimos SP, Manana, Hellenbach GT, V8 Ghost, Thunder Rodd, Banshee, Landstalker, BF Injection, and Patriot. Once a vehicle is dropped off in the garage, it is crossed off from the list and Love Media won't take it anymore. If the player has dropped off all the requested vehicles, a V8 Ghost and PCJ 600 spawn at the Staunton Island safehouse.
