Mall Shootout is the second mission played in the game for Colonel Cortez.

Brief
Cortez has a deal to close, some french courier has valuable technology for him and he wants Tommy to retrieve it from the Washington Mall.
The Mission
Tommy goes to the Washington Mall in Washington Beach, there the couirer is waiting in the seoncd floor, but as expected, the deal goes wrong, since the French SWAT folowed Tommy here and want their missile technology back. The courier makes a run for it and Tommy chases him, the courier gets onboard a PCJ 600 and attempts to escape, but Tommy chases, catches and kills the courier, then takes the chips. There he gets three wanted stars and makes a fast runaway arriving at Cortez's yacht and delivering the chips.

Colonel Cortez: Tommy! Come, join me. This looks delicious, huh? Tapir snout?
Tommy Vercetti: Uhhh...no, no, no, thanks.
Cortez: Tommy, you are like a Pampas breeze that has freed me from the stentch of corruption. Although, I just appear to mourn his passing and carry on with business as usual.
Tommy: This isn't getting me any clser to my money...
Cortez: Tommy, my friend. You are not in Liberty now. Here we do things differently. I will continue with my inquiries but in the meantime I have a valuable deal to close.
Tommy: A favor for a friend, Cortez?
Cortez: You're a good friend, Tommy! I knew you would not let me down. I need you to meet a courier who has obtained some valuable technology for me...

Courier: Ah, comment?
Tommy: Look, Cortez sent me. Just give me the damn chips.
Courier: Oh...d'accord.
SWAT Commander: Freeze, imperialist American pig! Zat iz property of ze government Francais. 'And eet over!
