The Baseball Bat was one of the first Melee Weapons in the Grand Theft Auto Series.

Melee Weapons are featured in every Grand Theft Auto game after Grand Theft Auto III. All Melee Weapons serve the same purpose (excluding the Chainsaw and the Teaser), to beat the victim to death. The players Fists can also be used to fight.
