Mr Whoopee
Overview
The Mr. Whoopee is a van on all of the GTA III Era games so far. It is an ice cream truck, that usually drives around the suburb areas of the cities. A special attribute for the truck is that when the horn button is pressed this toggles a melody like in real ice cream trucks. The melody from GTA III and GTA: Vice City is the same as the Ice Cream Van from Grand Theft Auto 2, but it was changed in GTA: San Andreas. In GTA III, the van is similar to a Moonbeam, however in GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas it is a modified Boxville. The Boxville style van is top heavy and is very easy to roll if not driven carefully. It would be a waste if good wholesome ‘ice cream’ if it crashed!
Trivia
- On Grand Theft Auto: Vice City the Mr. Whoopee has missions associated with it, in which the player uses a Mr. Whoopee truck to sell SPANK to nearby citizens. After four sales the Police will get interested.
The ice cream models on top of the van are another sexual gesture used by Rockstar. In GTA: Vice City, it resembles a large pair of breasts, whereas in GTA: San Andreas, it resembles the male genital region.
Locations
GTA III
- On rare occasions, it is spotted driving around Chinatown, Rockford and Cedar Grove. It is not parked anywhere in the game.
- During the mission I Scream, You Scream.
- During Vigilante and Firefighter missions.
- At the Import/Export garage, Portland Harbor. You must turn in all vehicles on the list first.
GTA: Vice City
- Cherry Poppers Ice Cream Factory, Little Havana. You must buy the factory to access the van. Starts Distribution mission.
GTA: San Andreas
Can be found in urban areas such as Los Santos in sunny weather. The beach party cheat makes it very common.
