GTA III rendition

The Mule is a box truck that is featured in all of the GTA III era games (except Grand Theft Auto: Advance), as well as Grand Theft Auto IV.

The Mule has no special purpose and only serves as another vehicle to drive. Two people can fit in the cab of the truck; the cargo hold does not normally open, but the cargo hold and its contents can be exposed when the door is removed - the truck will contain various items of cargo in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Due to the truck's awkward weight division, it can flip over easily. Prior to GTA IV, the Mule most closely resembles a 1989 or 1990 Ford E350 cube van.

In GTA IV, it resembles a Mitsubishi FH100, with headlights similar to a previous generation Isuzu Elf. Unlike all other GTA versions of the Mule, it won't flip over, but is still slow. The GTA IV Mule is manufactured by Maibatsu, and has a 3 litre diesel engine, according to the badging. The Mule comes with various company names painted on the sides, as well as a version with no markings. The companies include Candybox, Cherenkov, The Bean Machine, Alpha Mail, Easy Lay Carpet, and Betta Pharmaceuticals.
