The following is a script of the first encounter with Pathos in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Pathos: I sense a little apprehension in your voice.

Niko: I like it a bit but, uh, I'm not a crazy fan.

Pathos: Cause the shit went all commercial? Because people sold out? I hear you.

Niko: No, not really.

Pathos: Cause the shit ain't real no more? Ain't got no intelligence? For real. Well, you gonna love my shit.

Niko: Your shit?

Pathos: Yes - it's the real urban consciousness and man it is real. Pathos. Believe that.

Niko: Why are you selling it on the street?

Pathos: The majors are just pimps, and I ain't no bitch.

Niko: No. I can see that.

Pathos: Man, if I have to spend the rest of my life preaching on a street corner, so fucking be it. Give it up for Pathos!

Gangster: Yo, Pathos! You a bitch and you suck dick!

Pathos: Man, you hear that punk.

Gangster: Yeah, he heard me, bitch. What you gonna do about it?
