Description
The PIGS mainly operate as a legitimate security force out of DBP Security, but are also involved in some illegal protection services. They patrol the North Point Mall area (northern Vice Point), Viceport, Escobar International Airport and Starfish Island. They provide protection to the Leaf Links Country Club, El Banco Corrupto Grande, the Front Page Cafe, Spand Express, public events and to Congressman Alex Shrub
The PIGs appear many times throughout the story of GTA Vice City. They provide protection for Congressman Alex Shrub and the band Love Fist, and have links to the Vice City Triads, providing protection for their illegal counterfeiting operation. At one point the PIGs attempt to move in on Tommy Vercetti's protection rackets in Ocean Beach; Tommy wipes out the guards involved, and destroys their office.
The leadership of the PIGs is unknown. The only named member of the gang was Dick Tanner, and Tanner was actually part of a European gang, working for the PIGs as a cover, before being killed by Tommy in the mission Autocide.
