Phone calls come through from uses of the Mobile Phone phone calls only come from some call you in the GTA 3 or through someone calling you. The phone calls weren't introduced until GTA Vice City when in the mission Back Alley Brawl Tommy Vercetti kills Leo Teal and steal his Phone
