The Rustler is a WWII fighter which first appeared on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It has an extremely fast speed and very good manuverability despite being a WWII piston engined fighter. It is used for most of the missions at the flying school, and for missions with Mike Toreno. It has 6 machine guns in the wings but despite its armament, it is not suited to be used in dogfighting against fast Hydra jets, but it is suited for the following: 1. Shooting down slower larger aircraft, 2. Destroying ships at port, 3. Strafing static or slow moving targets on the ground, 4. Pilot training, 5. Extremely maneuverable during stunting. Despite some of these negative facts, because of its exellent construction, it can withstand hard landings, 2-3 missile hits and gunfire, and because of its piston engine it can perform extremely short landings to the extent of it landing completely unpowered. It is based on the North American P-51 Mustang. Its overall shape, ( and the fact that it lacks the Tempest's enormous front air scoop and eliptical wings) makes it resemble a P-51 Mustang, not a Hawker Tempest. It is found at 1 of the 2 hangars at Easter Bay International Airport or at the Verdant Meadows Air field.
