Shadow is a mission given by Badman in GTA IV. He complains about another dealer moving in on his turf, and asks Niko to get rid of the dealers for him so he can continue business as usual.

Walkthrough

Badman can usually be found north of the Arch, on the Broker/Dukes border. For those not sure where that is, it's on the northeast corner of the big park that is itself north of the Broker Pay 'N Spray. Head down the wide thoroughfare north of the Arch and Badman should be sitting on a bench on the west side of the road. Note, however, that unless you've been introduced to Badman in "Shadow", he won't be there.

Though you may not understand him very well without Little Jacob to translate, the gist is this: a bunch of Russians have been moving in on Badman's territory and he wants them out. You're to help him clear an alleyway in east Dukes of said thugs, and do you have any problem with that?

If you do, why are you playing this game? It's not like you have a choice, anyhow- Niko's in even if you aren't. Badman pulls out a pump shotgun and declares you "alright".

So let's go. Get a car and follow your all-knowing Karnak of a GPS to the location it provides. Pull up, get out, and survey the situation. The thugs are packed closely together, there's a lot of them, and most of them have shotguns.

Bad news all around. It would probably be a very good idea to invest in some body armor and a bite to eat before undertaking this mission, as things can get very nasty very fast here. Body armor is only 500 dollars if you've unlocked the gun shop with Dmitri, and even less if you've managed to get Little Jacob's special ability unlocked. And you can fill your health all the way up for just one dollar at any fine eating establishment (closest to Badman: probably the local Clucking Bell), so go do that!

Either way, there's no way to do this neatly- the alley's too narrow for a car to drive through, since it bends partway along, and you probably don't have much firepower beyond the shotgun at this point. The best bet is to go in, use cover, and if you get a lock on any of them, don't stop firing until he dies.

Once this nasty business is done, Badman thanks you, pays you for your work (to say nothing of all the ammo and money the Russians drop), and bids you good luck.
