Slacker is the second mission of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and is given to the protagonist Toni Cipriani by Vincenzo Cilli.

Mission

The mission begins with Toni entering Vincenzo's warehouse in Atlantic Quays. Vincenzo tells Toni of a dealer who has not been working the Leone patch in Chinatown. Vincenzo also says that there are parallels between them, indirectly calling Toni a chicken-shit. Vincenzo sends Toni to find the dealer and take him to his patch.

Toni finds the dealer in Saint Mark's, opposite Salvatore Leone's Gentleman's Club. The dealer makes excuses, which Toni ignores. Toni takes the dealer to Chinatown, where the dealer finally admits he is scared off being killed by members of the Sindacco Family, who have taken the area over.

Script

Vincenzo Cilli: We've got a dealer, working out North Chinatown patch. That lazy bastard ain't brought any cash in, in days. Maybe he needs some encouragement to get off his ass and do some work. Acting like a bitch... he kinda reminds me of you.

Toni Cipriani: What are you trying to say?

Vincenzo Cilli: I ain't TRYING to say nothing! I'm telling you to get over there and make sure this asshole starts bringing in some god damn money!

(Toni Cipriani drives to the dealer, who is in Saint Marks, opposite Salvatore Leone's Gentleman's Club).

Toni Cipriani: So, Vincenzo tells me you're too chicken-shit to work your patch?

Dealer: Hey man! I'm no chicken-shit! I... er... been ill is all! I'll go back tomorrow... or, maybe, the day after.

Toni Cipriani: Oh, I think you're going to work today... like it or not!

(Toni drives the dealer to the Leone Family patch in Chinatown).

Dealer: Oh, man... I don't feel too good... I think I might have a fevor or something. I told Vinnie already... Chinatown's no go for the Leones now! The Sindaccos are moving in! If I go there, I'm a dead man!

Toni Cipriani: Sure... Sure...

Dealer: I'm telling you, man! The Sindaccos are dealing.

Reward

The monetary reward for completion of Slacker is $100. Completion of the mission unlocks the next mission for Vincenzo, Dealing Revenge.
