The Stubby shotgun is a weapon available in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.

Description

The stubby shotgun is a powerful weapon, but it has a very short effective range due to its short barrel. It can destroy a vehicle with 2 rounds; however, the player is liable to take damage. It will take down most enemies in one shot at point blank range while inflicting only minute damage at longer ranges. In fact, the Stubby shotgun actually does more damage per hit than the S.P.A.S. 12 (120 points of damage versus the S.P.A.S. 12's 100^[1]). The model for the Stubby Shotgun in GTA Vice City and Liberty City Stories is based on an Ithaca 37 'Stakeout' whereas the Vice City Stories rendition is based off of a sawn-off Mossberg 500. The Chinatown Wars variant is rendered to be a Sawn-off Shotgun according to the HUD image.
