I am suggesting that this should be moved to an article named GIGN - Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale, which corresponds to a french SWAT as they are the counter-terrorist units here (yes, I am french). Plus, in the mission where they are mentioned, from what I recalled, they explicitly say (and in french mixed with bad english) that they are from the Gendarmerie (which is a kind of military police to say it simply, a bit like the italian Carabinieri).
