Spliting Aritcle
With Grand Theft Auto IV being set in a new version of Liberty City, do you think it would be a good idea to have three articles based on the city? One for the GTA1 rendition, one for the GTA 3 era city and then one for the GTA IV era. What do you think? A-Dust 20:15, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ahh, I forgot to comment on this... my apology for belated comment on this... but regardless, I'm inclined to agree with your proposal. I believe each renditions, even an original Grand Theft Auto rendition, would surely have enough to make for good-sized article or however we call that. But I would also recommend to have this page retains summaries for each of those rendition with links to full article on them instead of simply turning it into a disambiguation page. Link in the way
Shouldnt that link to wikipedia New York just say New York City and have the Wikipedia bit hidden in the background, it doesn't read right the way it is

- 'Tis fixed! Check the code...if you see anything like that, the trick is to add what you want to appear in the link after a "|", and the link itself before it. For example, I would point to my talk page thusly, so it's not cumbersome within text, as it would be if I simply included just the link, like this: User talk:Eganio. To do that, I used the following code:

Disambig
I was thinking that this page could be given a disambig tag. My reasoning is because most of the time we would want to direct links past here not link to here (a mistake I see too often). If it was a disambig, those pages could be seen here so that users can fix the problem easily. Maybe (if possible) Gboyers could change the page] that list the pages that link to disambigs to say that pages linking to Liberty City may under the circumstances be correct, but for users to check the circumstances (ie. A factory in GTA IV should link to Liberty City in GTA IV with a "|" so that it says Liberty City). Thoughts? Biggest GTA Fan EverTalk 07:09, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
