According to the wiki, this mission does not unlock any further missions. Does this mean the mission is not required to finish the story, or is the wiki inaccurate? Christophee (talk) 20:04, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Same question for The Getaway. I was going to add Two-Faced Tanner, but that mission's page states that the mission is not required. Christophee (talk) 20:10, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

No, it is not required for advancing in the storyline. "Drive Misty For Me" unlocks Joey's mission line, which unlocks Tony's mission line, which unlocks Salvatore's mission line if I remember correctly. If you only want to do the bare minimum of missions required to unlock Staunton Island, not all missions for each character is required. Neither "The Fuzz Ball" nor "The Getaway" are necessary, and if they have not been done before "Last Requests", they will be permanently disabled. I hope you understand what I mean, and I think you will find that there are a lot of missions not needed in order to get to the finish of the storyline (but they are of course necessary to reach 100% completion of the game).
