If you look at tom goldbergs picture you can see that he bears an uncanny resemblance to veteran actor Robert De Niro because they both have the mole above the right cheek.

Tom Goldberg is a lawyer at Goldberg, Ligner and Shyster in Grand Theft Auto IV. He is only featured in the mission Final Interview where Niko Bellic is sent by Francis McReary to kill him and take a document back to Francis.

According to his law firm's website, Goldberg is credited for his work on human rights and charity works. He is considered a success within the legal industry. He is often the legal expert on Weazel News and quote in the Daily Globe on several occasions. When not working on his cases, he spends his time teaching disadvantaged young boys to swim.

It is speculated that he is based on lawyer Jack Thompson who is a critic of the Grand Theft Auto series. The reason that this is speculated is because during the mission Final Interview, if Niko pulls out a gun in front of Goldberg, he will say Thompson's famous quote: "Guns don't kill people, video games do!".

Goldberg also shares the name of Salvatore Leone's lawyer in 2001, Maurice Goldberg. However, there is unlikely to be any relation due to the two characters appearing in two different eras.
