Niko enters Roman's cab depot and sees Roman, drunk and upset, because he suspects Mallorie is seeing Vlad, as he saw his car parked at her house. Niko tells Roman he already knew this, which makes Roman get mad at him and call him disloyal. Niko decides it's time for Vlad to pay for what he has done, but Roman begs Niko not to hurt Vlad. Anyway, Niko leaves.

After Niko (the main character) and his cousin Roman discover that Vladimir Glebov (the local Russian criminal) is stealing Roman's girlfriend, Niko forces Roman to go with him to kill Vlad. Roman believes this is a bad idea because Vlad's boss may assassinate Niko and Roman.
Niko and Roman drive to Comrades Bar. Along the way, Roman continues to warn Niko they shouldn't hurt Vlad, as his boss, Mikhail Faustin, may kill them. Niko doesn't care about this and is convinced the only way to end this is to kill Vlad. When they arrive to the bar, they enter and see Vlad talking to the other people. Niko confronts Vlad and he runs away. The other people at the bar attack Niko, but he avoids them and follows Vlad, who gets in his car and speeds off. Niko quickly gets in the car with Roman and chase Vlad.

Niko and Roman drive to Vlad's bar. Niko confronts Vlad, who runs away at the back door of the bar and leaves Niko to be killed by his two goons. Niko kills the goons and chases Vlad, but quite frankly Vlad escapes in a car. Niko gets into his own car and chases Vlad to the shore of the Humboldt River, where he kills Glebov point blank.
Roman repeatedly begs Niko to stop and that Vlad is getting away anyway, but Niko is sure he will come back. They ultimately get into BOABO, where Vlad leaves his car at a small lot next to Humboldt River. Niko approaches Vlad.

Roman escapes to a dumpster in Broker (on Tulsa Street) after the death of Vlad because he thinks it's a good hiding spot from Mikhail Faustin, Vlad's boss.
Vlad, just standing in front of Niko, starts telling him that he's nothing in the city and that he won't survive without him, since his bosses will not allow someone killing their employees. After listening to him, Niko pulls out a pistol and executes Vlad by shooting him in the head, saying that "nobody fucks with his family".

Niko grabs Vlad's body and pushes it to the water's edge. Roman gets out of the car and sees what Niko has done. During the war, he and his fellows went on a mission that turned out to be a set up. Everybody died except him and two other men. He knows one of them is in the city and wants to find him to ask him why he betrayed his friends. Roman, still worried, tells Niko that it isn't the right moment or place to make such a confession. They then push Vlad's body into the river, and Roman just goes away.

Roman becomes aware that Mallorie has been secretly going on dates with Vlad. Naturally he's upset, and Niko wants to go to the Comrades Bar and deal with him directly. Roman thinks Niko is crazy because he thinks that Vlad's men will get him and Niko into a lot of danger. Go with Roman to look for Vlad at the Comrades Bar
Later, Niko calls Roman, who, whispering, tells Niko to come to the Perestroika.
It is a good idea to drive to Roman's cab depot in a fast car when you go to receive this mission, as you will likely need it. Either a very fast car or one with very good handling is recommended for this mission, and for that matter all missions that involve a car chase.

Once the cutscene is over, either get into your fast car or the Roman's Taxi which now appears in the garage (and which will serve nicely if you don't have something else). Drive to the Comrades Bar to confront Vlad.

The player earns the Fed The Fish achievement.

Vlad runs out the back door. Take out his goons with a small gun (or push them down to the ground quickly and continue running) then head out the front door; Vlad will drive past as you get in your car so it saves time. Try not to have the shotgun armed while running, as you'll go slower.

After the cutscene, you're prompted to execute and kill Vlad. Executions are when you target in-mission characters with a pistol and the reticule flashes red. If you shoot, you will see a bloody death scene. However, you don't have to execute him - you can free-aim and kill him that way.

* You automatically get a handgun if you do not already have one after the cutscene where Vlad is cornered at the River. This is a good thing if the player plans on stacking up pistol ammo.
* If you use cheats to gain a rocket launcher before the mission, you can do something with it. After the cutscene where Niko runs into Vlad's bar, take out the rocket launcher and run out of the back like you normally would. Vlad's car takes about two seconds to drive out of view so you can blow it up. However, it fixes itself after a few seconds so the chase sequence is still present. It's still an interesting sight, though.

for completing this mission, you unlock an XBox achievement/PS3 trophy: Fed the Fish.

Uncle Vlad is a mission in Grand Theft Auto IV given to protagonist Niko Bellic by his cousin Roman Bellic from his cab depot.

Mission

Niko enters Roman's cab depot and sees Roman, drunk and upset, because he suspects Mallorie is seeing Vlad, as he saw his car parked at her house. Niko tells Roman he already knew this, which makes Roman get mad at him and call him disloyal. Niko decides it's time for Vlad to pay for what he has done, but Roman begs Niko not to hurt Vlad. Anyway, Niko leaves.

Roman repeatedly begs Niko to stop and that Vlad is getting away anyway, but Niko is sure he will come back. They ultimately get into BOABO, where Vlad leaves his car at a small lot next to Humboldt River. Niko approaches Vlad.

He desperately yells at Niko he shouldn't have done anything and that they will end up dead. Niko waits a moment, then sits down and starts telling Roman why he came to Liberty City.

Later, Niko calls Roman, who, whispering, tells Niko to come to the Perestroika.

Reward

The player earns the Fed The Fish achievement.
