Wiki Staff

The founder (me), staff, and users of Grand Theft Wiki decided to move away from Wikia and onto here, for a lot of reasons. When we did that, we pointed all users to this site. Wikia wanted to keep the old wiki open, so that they could keep making money on adverts. They blocked the staff so that they could pretend that the site never moved. We tried to compromise, by making that wiki mainly about modding, and this one about more general stuff, but they didn't like that and blocked the staff again. The problem is that, whilst we were at wikia, we used their web address (gta.wikia.com) which they kept for their site. So now many users typing in that address just end up on Wikia and don't know that we moved here. So it's important that as many people as possible, on as many sites as possible, know to come to GrandTheftWiki.com for all their GTA needs! Gboyers 20:57, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

Re: Swearing

It depends. GTA may be an 18+ game, but that does not mean you can be rude to people. If you are quoting GTA, yes you can include the swear words. Otherwise, do not swear in articles. If you are writing (outside of an article) and you happen to swear, there's no problem. But if you swear AT someone, or if you get angry, then we will step in. Gboyers 17:26, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
