No problem, maybe that was somewhere else. It's correct here though. Andreaz1 (talk) 16:11, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

I fixed it for you, what you needed to do was to add <code>|13</code> to the end of the userbox code. A quick tip for you if you're not sure how something works, take a look at how someone else made it work on another page, and basically try and do the same thing on your own page, remember to use the preview button. That's how I have learned a lot of the things I know. :) There is also great help on the Help pages. That could be quicker than waiting for me to reply but of course you can always ask me if there is anything you are wondering. I'm glad to be of help. When you edit a page, take a look at the bottom of the page, just above the "Save page" button. There is a field that says "Summary". In there you can write a few words about what it was you did to the page, "fixing spelling" for example. You don't have to, but it makes it easier for other people to look at the history of that page and quickly see what happened and when it happened. Welcome Nameless assasin

Hi mr grand theft, welcome to Grand Theft Wiki! I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

We're pleased you've chosen to come to Grand Theft Wiki. We are a little different to many other sites, because we pride ourselves on encouraging every user to pitch in and help out, not just the experts.

Even if you're new and don't know much about how wikis work, we encourage you to get stuck in and start editing away! Any edit can be can be reversed, so don't worry about breaking things too much! Have a practice in the sandbox too if you like.

 • If you do need help, check out our Help section.
 • If you want to know more about Grand Theft Wiki, see our About page.
 • If you're interested in our rules and the way we do things on Grand Theft Wiki, check out our Policy.
 • If you'd like to interact with the rest of the community here, check out our Community Hub.
 • If you want a safe place to test out editing, have a play around with our Sandbox

Whether you're brand new to wikis or are more experienced, check out our Tasks page, which shows you the sorts of things we need you to help out with on here.

I hope you enjoy being a part of this wiki, and that get involved in the community here! If you need help, ask any of our Staff members and leave a message on our talk/discussion pages. Have fun!

GTA V Gripes

In response to this question, there is not much point having a whole new gripes section for a game that's not out yet. We still have the GTA V Wishlist if you have any suggestions. If there's something you don't like about GTA V already (such as the location), you can still mention it on the wishlist. gboyers talk 14:45, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Community Pages

In reply to Community Pages

There's no rule saying members can't create community pages, but I can advise you on whether it would be suitable. What did you have in mind?

Also a quick note. When you leave a message for someone on their talk page, use the "Add Message" button at the top so you can add a title; and end your message with ~~~~ which automatically signs your signature and the date. gboyers talk 19:10, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Re: Blocked

Could you explain what you mean? Your account (User:Nameless assasin) is not blocked, and has never been blocked on this site. Nothing should stop you from editing with that account. What problem were you having - did it show up any message? Are you sure it was this site causing the problem, not a different site? gboyers talk 18:57, 17 January 2012 (UTC)

I am pretty comfused due to the fact that i could still edit, but it was stated on top of the editing page that my username or ip address has been blocked by gboyers reasons:spaming there were other things but that was all i remembered it must have been an error sorry about that.

That's interesting. If it happens again, could you take a screenshot and upload it here? I think it might be showing you a cached/saved copy of the page as viewed by a banned user, but that shouldn't happen. Thanks for letting me know - gboyers talk 01:03, 18 January 2012 (UTC)

Editing

Could I suggest you have a look at Help:Editing to see how code works here (or Help:Basics for a quick guide)? You'll probably learn a lot about how to make links and stuff. Also, I answered your question (not sure if you're watching that page for replies). gboyers talk 17:16, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice and the reasons why i cant watch the page is because i am using a mobile phone and it is rather slow and for some reason when i click on watch page it does not watch but anyway thank you.Nameless assasin (talk) 17:29, 25 January 2012 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ah fair enough. You can always go to Special:Watchlist to manually add pages to your watchlist if you're interested. I've just updated the Help:Editing page to make it more up-to-date and friendly. gboyers talk 17:52, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

You didn't finish your question? gboyers talk 23:22, 26 January 2012 (UTC)

There's more to running a site like this than just filling out an online form (like you would for a Wikia wiki). This wiki is a proper full website that I run myself - I configure the software on our server and update and maintain it. There are dozens of advantages of doing it this way - mostly that we have total control over this site, what it looks like, how it works, who can do what etc. But that requires a high level of technical expertise in server management, a decent working knowledge of PHP and advanced MW config skills. On top of all that, running a wiki itself isn't as simple as making a few edits and hoping other people come along and do the hard work - managing the community here takes up a huge amount of time. I had to make decisions in 2006 when the wiki was tiny that still affect how we run now - such as not letting guests edit, the staff promotion procedures and the Article Titles in Title Case policy. I'm not saying this wiki is perfect, but it's taken a huge amount of effort from me, my staff and the community to get it where it is. I wouldn't want you to think that you could easily spend half a day setting up your own site and expect it to become an instant success. That's why Wikia is really useful for people to run small-to-medium-sized wikis with very little effort, because it can be up and running instantly and will automatically get a lot of traffic. If you want to bash together a wiki and gain some experience, that would be the best way. gboyers talk 17:08, 27 January 2012 (UTC)

Where exactly do you mean? Your user page already says that you are 13. Andreaz1 (talk) 15:30, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
