I'm still not convinced that you have to be staff to do that. I agree that it needs to be done, and I agree that there are people better at it than others, and I agree that we can make it official and recognise the people that do good work. However we don't add people onto staff just because they write good text, or are good with categories. On another note, please use the "Show preview" button instead of hitting save a hundred times on the same page - you end up clogging up the history and recent changes logs. Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Grand Theft Wiki! Your contributions are greatly appreciated, and I hope you intend to stay. Please do not hesitate to let me or any of the other staff members (Gboyers, Guild Knight and Eganio) know if you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, etc. We are here to help! In the meantime, have fun and happy editing. A-Dust 17:32, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Photographer

Thanks for your suggestion regarding an 'Official GTA Wiki Photographer'. Before we can make a decision on this, I'd like to see you prove the concept. Perhaps you could create a page for people to request screenshots. Also, I suggest you have a look at Category:Images Needed and provide images for those pages. If you can prove that the role of an official screenshotter is useful, then we will consider creating an official position for it. However, I'm sure you can understand that anyone can contribute to this wiki, and anyone can upload images - you don't have to be staff to be able to do that. I can see that you have added images to those pages (which is good), but so have thousands of other people [1] . What makes this worth a staff position? Staff are here to help other users, and be a first point of contact for anyone with a question or problem. There could be a screenshotter on staff if they regularly went to find images for other people, and had a system set up to do this. I'd want to see this working before making it staff. Also, you need to show your willingness to help (with various things), and your expertise with images (including Copyright templates).
Two other things - don't forget to sign your name on talk pages with ~~~~. Also, when you upload images, you need to leave the file extension on the end - eg "Image:Starfish Island.jpg" otherwise they won't work in some situations.
The alternative to a staff position is a photographer/screenshotter group, like Group:Games. This way a lot of users could get involved, and there would be an easy way for other users to ask the group for a screenshot of something. Gboyers talk 10:53, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
