Much like many other rural towns within the county, due to its relatively small size, Valle Ocultado mainly occupies low-rise businesses; a few medium density structures are also present. VC:MP started in April, 2005. It was decided that VC:MP would be worked on as a codebase for San Andreas Multiplayer, due to the fact the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas game was not released at the time the team started working.

After a couple of public beta tests began gathering an extremely high amount of interest, VC:MP was finally released to a warm reception and has since progressed from v0.1 to v0.1d, with an open-source code release in the progress. This source has now been used by another community member to progress with VC:MP as the main team work on SA:MP.

Version 0.3z is the current stable release of the mod, released on December 14, 2007. There is also a Liberty City Multiplayer mod with the same version number, which is designed for the "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City" mod, which recreates the Grand Theft Auto III rendition of Liberty City using the Vice City engine.

Another similar modification is Multi Theft Auto, however the mods for both GTA Vice City and GTA III have been quiet for a few years; work is being done on the GTA San Andreas engine. In turn, the mod has been completely redesigned. There is a possibility that the GTA Vice City and GTA III versions have been dropped altogether.

Valle Ocultado

Valle Ocultado is the smallest functioning municipality in San Andreas. Its name translates from Spanish as Hidden Valley. It is located in the northwestern tip of Bone County, at the foot of the bridge leading into Tierra Robada to the west, and just north of Arco del Oeste. This tiny community consists of two motels, an establishment with a sign reading "GAS", and a boat station. Nearby areas include Sherman Dam, Sherman Reservoir, Las Payasadas, and Arco del Oeste.

Character

Much like many other rural towns within the county, due to its relatively small size, Valle Ocultado mainly occupies low-rise businesses; a few medium density structures are also present. The Native American and subtle country folk flavor of the vicinity contrasts to the glamour and glitz of Las Venturas, only a few miles away. No gangs occupy the area as of 1992, while the crime rate is very low, giving the town a much more positive reputation, unlike those of Glen Park and East Los Santos, where crime persists daily. The architecture of the vicinity is not so spectacular though better than most rural towns of its kind, consisting of unique Tee Pee structures and average small hotels.

The area doesn't hold much significance to the storyline, only making one mandatory appearance in the missions Vertical Bird and Learning to Fly, and voluntary appearances in the mission Misappropriation and LVA Freight Depot bike races.
