Wichita Gardens is a district in the lower parts of Shoreside Vale, Liberty City. It directly borders Cedar Grove. In 1998, during the events of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the district is run by the Forelli Family, however, with the help of Toni Cipriani, the Southside Hoods take over the district. The district contains many housing projects and access to the Porter Tunnel. The radio stations MSX FM and Game Radio have their headquarters located here. The Staunton View Picnic Area is also accessed via Wichita Gardens. In Liberty City Stories, Yakuza members can be often be spotted around Wichita Gardens, however there are no known reasons as to why. In 2001, the Southside Hoods split into two sub-gangs Purple Nines and Red Jacks, in which the Nines help spreading SPANK to the streets and with the help of Claude, the Red Jacks manage to wipe out the Nines after a gang war. Of interesting note, Claude's safehouse is located here.
